Wednesday 16th July: Landscape History on Hob Moor (*)
Coinciding with National Archeology Week, this fascinating walk will open your eyes to the rich history of Hob Moor and how, even today, you can spot traces of it for yourself.
7.30pm - 9.30pm. Meet at Edmund Wilson Baths car park.
Sunday 15th June: Summer Nature Walk (*)
There are more flowers, plants, butterflies and creepy-crawlies on Hob Moor than you might ever imagine! Come and meet a few face-to-face, and find out more about them.
2.00pm - 4.00pm. Meet at North Lane access to Hob Moor (Chase Side Court).
Saturday May 31st: Hob Moor Local Nature Reserve Day
A great afternoon out, with lots of activities for all the family: a falconry display; fun dog show; willow weaving; face painting; story telling; refreshments; stalls and more.
2.00pm - 4.30pm. Held on the area behind Edmund Wilson Baths.
Sunday 18th May: Wild Birds on Hob Moor (*)
How lucky we are to have skylarks on our doorstep! Join this enjoyable and informative stroll to listen for their rare and beautiful song and look out for the many other birds that live on and around Hob Moor.
10.00am - 11.30am. Meet at Edmund Wilson Baths car park.
Monday 1st October Annual General Meeting
Before the business part of the meeting John Brierley from St Nicholas's Fields will give a talk about the recycling project there.
West Thorpe Methodist Church, West Thorpe. 7.30pm parking is available
Sunday 2nd September: Butterfly Walk
Tony Fairburn will lead a walk around the moor to look at the butterflies and moths.
Meet by Edmund Wilson Baths, 11.00am. No need to book.
Saturday 25th August: Bats and Moths
Come and discover wildlife on the moor at dusk! You'll need a torch, suitable footwear and warm clothing.
Meet at Edmund Wilson Baths car park. 8.00pm - 9.30pm.

Sunday 29th July: Butterflies and Flowers Walk
This ever-popular walk with Mark Tyszka. Learn about the flowers, butterflies and other creepy-crawlies and their folklore history on Hob Moor.
Meet North Lane access to Hob Moor (Chaseside Court). 2.00pm – 4.00pm.
Wednesday 11th July: Hob Moor History Walk
Ever wondered about the humps and bumps on the moor? Did you know about the golf course and the plague victims who were housed here? Come along and find out the answers and much more on this fascinating walk led by Elizabeth Smith, author of the recent book on Hob Moor.
Meet at Edmund Wilson Baths car park. 7.30pm – 9.30pm.
Wednesday 13th June: Birdwatching
Come and listen to the skylarks. An Interesting and informative stroll across Hob Moor to look and listen to the birds.
Meet at the Information Board by the Hob Moor Drive entrance to Hob Moor. 9.30 am - 11.00am.
Saturday June 2nd: Hob Moor Local Nature Reserve Celebration Day
A range of activities for all the family: falconry display; fun dog show; juggling; face painting; live music; stalls; arts and crafts; and much more.
