The following events have been organised by Friends of Hob Moor and City Of York Council. Please note that walks will not take place if it is raining heavily.

Join in the fun and games with an environmental theme. Learn more about the wildlife found on Hob Moor though a morning of games. How do bumblebees find their food, how do butterflies scare off their predators and more.

Friday 6th August 10.30am - 12.00: Holiday Hunt

This family activity will take you on a walk around this nature reserve. Complete the challenges along the way to receive your certificate.

Tuesday 17th August 1.30pm - 3.00pm: Grassland Safari

Come and explore the meadows in close up. Learn more about the minibeasts that live here and see what you can catch.

Wednesday 25th August 7.30pm - 9.00pm: Bat Walk

Discover the secrets of the moor at dusk! Come and spot the bats that come out just when you thought there was nothing to see on the moor. You'll need a torch, suitable footwear and warm clothes.

Tuesday 26th October: Hallowe'en with Adrian Spendlow

Leading this walk will be famous storyteller and poet, Adrian Spendlow.
